Seaweed extract

The extract obtained from green sea fingers (Codium fragile) stimulates cell metabolism and cell growth and intensively regenerates the skin. The seaweed extract also has an antioxidant action on the free radicals that play a part in skin aging.

AntiOx (HDBM)

Multi-active AntiOx or HDBM (hydroxy dimethoxybenzyl malonate) reduces free radicals effectively and continuously for 24 hours, acts in a controlled and sustained manner against oxidative stress and in this way specifically prevents premature skin aging.

Biochromones

Biochromones are newly developed plant-based active ingredients that act deep down in the skin to reactivate the skin regeneration process, boost collagen production and inhibit its breakdown. This reduces age-related wrinkles and firms the skin with lasting effect.

Biostimulators

The biostimulators in Lubex anti-age skincare products recognise and treat the different needs of the skin, from the surface to the deep layers. Examples of biostimulators: tripeptides, pistachio tree extract, phyto stem cells, astragalus root extract, ginger extract, HAF.

Black Orchid

The black orchid (Cycnoches cooperi) thrives even in barren soil. The bark of a tree can provide an adequate place for it to grow. This is due to its pronounced ability to store water and nutrients. The extract of its flowers and leaves contains flavonoids with an antioxidant action against free radicals and oxidative stress (UV rays, environmental pollutants, smoking).

Brazil Nut Oil

A high-quality, pure oil is obtained from the seeds of the Brazil nut (Bertholletia excelsa), a tree indigenous to the Amazon region that produces nuts of the same name. When applied to the skin, this oil reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL), and moisture measurements (using a corneometer) have shown that the resulting hydration of the skin lasts up to eight hours.

Ceramides

Ceramides are waxy lipid molecules found in the epidermis of the skin. As an important component of the skin, ceramides play a major part in enabling the skin to perform its protective function. Lubex anti-age treatments contain ceramides 1, 3 and 6 which keep the skin healthy by enabling it to perform its protective function as a barrier to foreign bodies and stopping it from drying out.

Coenzyme Q10

Coenzyme Q10 increases collagen production, acts deep down to reactivate the skin regeneration process, firms the skin and reduces wrinkles. A number of Lubex anti-age effective treatments contain coenzyme Q10 in an extremely pure liposomal form to enable the active ingredient to achieve full efficacy within the skin.

Colorless Carotenoids

Colourless carotenoids are a plant-based active ingredient extracted from tomatoes and with powerful antioxidant properties. They combat free radicals, protecting the skin against the aging effects of UV light and environmental pollution.

Diamond Powder

Genuine diamond powder reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and pores to lessen the external signs of premature aging. The fine glittering particles also create a subtle, attractive shimmer on the skin (instant glow effect).

Ectoine

Ectoine is a natural DNA and cell protection factor that combats UV-related skin damage, supports the skin’s immune system and provides efficient stress protection within the skin. Ectoine has been identified as the substance that protects organisms against intensive sun exposure, high temperatures and drought in the desert.
Ectoine is used as an active ingredient in skincare and sun protection products. It stabilises the natural structure of biopolymers such as proteins, nucleic acids and biomembranes. It has been shown to protect against skin damage caused by UVA and UVB rays. Its special characteristic is that ectoine acts not as a UV filter but as a form of cell protection, preventing sun allergies, UV-related skin aging and photosensitive dermatitis. Ectoine prevents damage in the upper and lower layers of the skin. It provides highly effective skin protection in combination with UV filters.
Ectoine also protects the skin’s natural immune system.

Ash extract

The common ash (Fraxinus excelsior) is a large tree commonly found in European forests. Its bark contains two glucosides that actively reduce the permeability of blood capillaries. This activity, known as vitamin P (for permeability) activity, strengthens the veins and protects the blood vessels. These two glucosides also have an antioxidant action that improves protection of the capillaries and also prevents haemoglobin from being broken down into the pigments that cause dark rings and shadows under the eyes.

High-purity active ingredients

High-purity active ingredients is the term used exclusively for ingredients with an active ingredient content and purity that meet the strict requirements for therapeutic efficacy. Hyaluronic acid agents

Hyaluronic acid is a major component of the connective tissue between the skin cells, filling it and providing support. Hyaluronic acid plays an essential role in maintaining the moisture content of the skin because of its ability to bind large quantities of water. As a result, hyaluronic acid agents are responsible for the skin’s firmness.
Allergies to and side effects of hyaluronic acid agents are rare or unknown since the substances occur naturally in the body and are recognised by it. Hyaluronic acid agents are available in different molecule sizes:

• Long-chain (high molecular) hyaluronic acid agents intensively moisturise the surface of the skin and prevent it from drying out.
• Short-chain (low molecular) hyaluronic acid agents (HAF) penetrate deep into the skin and boost it from within.
• Acetylated hyaluronic acid improves skin elasticity and makes the skin supple.
• A hyaluronic acid crosspolymer forms a protective film and provides the skin with long-lasting hydration.

Ginger extract

Stimulates production of the skin’s own hyaluronic acid and reduces fine lines.

Jojoba oil

Jojoba is an evergreen bush that grows mainly in the semi-arid and desert regions of Mexico, California and Arizona. Its seeds contain a liquid wax (the term oil is incorrect but is widely used) that is used for cosmetic purposes. It stops the skin drying out.

Isoflavone liposomes

Highly concentrated soy isoflavone liposomes significantly increase the thickness of the skin, something that decreases with age, and boost the dermis and epidermis from within. Isoflavones have been used for several years to manage women’s menopause-related symptoms. This active ingredient can also be used to care for the skin. Our active ingredient suppliers mostly use isoflavones derived from red clover, soy beans, irises and wild yams. Plant-based oestrogens have a wide variety of functions. In particular, they can counter the declining formation of collagen and elastin in the skin.

Kahai Oil

Kahai oil is obtained sustainably from the kahai nut, which grows in the Amazon region. Kahai oil significantly minimises wrinkles and makes the skin firmer. Its anti-aging effect has been documented in a scientific study. Kahai oil rapidly penetrates the skin and does not leave an oily film on the surface. The oil is rich in vitamins E and F and retinol.

Cress

The sprouts of garden cress (Lepidium sativum) have the highest concentration of secondary plant compounds, basic substances in plants known for their health-promoting properties. One of these secondary plant compounds, sulforaphane, reduces the production of melanin, thus making pigment spots and liver spots appear lighter. This effect is synergised in combination with soy isoflavones, leading to the targeted reduction of pigment spots without making the surrounding skin lighter. This makes the complexion clearer.

Niacinamide

Niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3, is a powerful cell communicator that offers several advantages for aging skin: It improves skin elasticity and markedly boosts its barrier function. Niacinamide demonstrably increases the content of ceramides and free fatty acids in the skin, prevents water loss from the skin and stimulates the micro-circulation in the dermis. It is also able to treat and correct an uneven complexion and revitalise the skin’s texture.
It is an outstanding active ingredient for combating wrinkles and blemishes.

Microalgae extract

Microalgae extract visibly firms the skin, makes it more elastic, stimulates collagen production and, as a result, also has a lasting firming effect.

PCA

PCA (pyrrolidone carboxylic acid) is a natural moisturising factor in the skin that intensively hydrates the epidermis and prevents it from drying out.

Microcapsules

Microcapsules are tiny coatings for especially sensitive active ingredients. They are used primarily in medical applications. In Lubex anti-age the sensitive ingredients are embedded in special, patented microcapsules (cyclodextrin). This provides the high-purity active ingredients with optimum protection against light and oxygen, even when they are applied to the skin. Peptides are important messenger substances and building blocks of the skin. They play an important role in research into wound healing because in this process the formation of new skin cells determines whether therapy will be successful.

Raw materials

The quality of the raw materials in all Lubex products complies with the highest standards. If fragrances are used, they comply with the strict IFRA standard published by the International Fragrance Association. All these fragrances are hypoallergenic, meaning that they do not contain any of the 26 allergenic fragrances which can trigger allergies and must therefore be declared on product packaging.
It goes without saying that all Permamed products contain no musk or formaldehyde. Moreover, Lubex anti-age products do not contain preservatives (such as parabens) since these often cause allergies and can stress the skin.
